28th December 2015: To the Members of Ifold Estates Limited
Dear Member,
On 6 Dec 2015, a letter (dated 29 Nov 2015), was hand-delivered to the members of Ifold Estates Ltd (IEL). The letter advised that with immediate effect, four Directors of IEL (Albert Marrable, Melvin Rose, Marcus Graves and Claire Berrington) had resigned from the Board and that Ms. Berrington had also resigned her position as the company’s part-time administrator. The Directors tendering their resignations did not advise the remaining directors of their intentions prior to taking this precipitate action. Neither did they follow the accepted protocol of formally tendering their resignations at the first available Board meeting.
We, the remaining Directors, who continue in office, will not comment upon the inferences in the circulated letter, other than to say the resigning directors have some culpability for the differences in opinion which have arisen over the fundamental issue(s) which led to their joint decision to resign. The remaining Directors will continue to operate the Company and provide the necessary services to the Estate. It is also our intention to do so in a more open and inclusive manner with the members.
At an Extraordinary Meeting of the Board, held on 6 December, the Directors reviewed and accepted the letter of resignation. To maintain continuity of management of the Estate, Peter Hunter was appointed Chairman and Malcolm Frost was appointed Company Secretary. Malcolm Frost will also be the point of contact in the Estate Management role, handling liaison with the Contractors undertaking works on the Estate.
The necessary administrative steps are taking place and the Solicitors, who usually act for the company, were advised of the changes in management in order that any legal Deeds of Grant or Easement processes underway, will not be delayed.
In early January 2016, IEL will be advertising the position of a part-time administrator in order that we may recruit a self-employed person with the necessary skill set and experience to support the Committee.
To re-confirm our records and to inform you promptly of IEL matters, please take time to advise us of your contact details for correspondence using the attached form (download and print). IEL Members may also keep up-to-date with Estate matters via this website: ifoldestatesltd.wordpress.com
A calendar of dates for 2016 board meetings has been confirmed (refer to this website ifoldestatesltd.wordpress.com). An open invitation is extended to Members who may wish to attend these meetings with a view to joining the Committee.
Please Note: This notice and form will also be printed and hand-delivered to members in the coming days, as we’re aware many do not use the internet.
Peter M. Hunter, Chairman
Ifold Estates Ltd.

Whilst appreciating that many older members perhaps do not have Internet access, many others do, so it is good to see Ifold Estates finally joining the 21st century 😉
Also it is possibly the most communication residents have received from the Committee for a long time – keep it up!
